Identifying risk factors in a person’s development associated with later offending. The importance of timing, including multiple ages, at times of stress or peer influences. I stress the need of sensitivity towards the individuals, their needs and the community. Identifying risk factors, and eliminating them, in families and households, schools and communities.

Offering adults educational access, allowing them to receive qualifications but teaching them societal values and shared goals. Gaining qualifications should help with paid employment.  Receiving paid employment will eliminate poverty and material deprivation, and minimize the need for crime associated with materialism. Being taugh social values and goals, with allow communities to connect, and strengthen.Having a positive adult roll model is important in the development of the younger generation.

Redesign of the school, having both a primary and secondary school. This should be a positive learning environment, offering functions and teaching a common culture. The school should be rebuilt local to Starely Cross so it easy accessible, but outside of Starley Cross, encouraging others to go from different areas, and different social classes.

Getting the community involved, in the design of rebuilds, and seeking opinions. Having resources available form families, schools and the community in which they may have previous be deprived from.
